Electronic Medical Record Specialist

We embrace the Sanctuary Model of Care as a guide for forming and maintaining a Therapeutic Community that promotes Safety and Non-Violence as the basis for the way we help people recover from trauma.

Develop an expert-level knowledge of our Electronic Medical Record technology and maintain a strong teaching approach for our clinical and direct service professionals – both newly hired as well as training in changing technology updates. Focus on personalization of staff education and training. Assist in investigating claim denials, which includes communicating with insurance companies as well as internal communication and investigation. Verify that EMR data is complete and accurate in order to process claims efficiently.

Minimum education: Associate’s Degree
Must demonstrate technical aptitude and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
Must be enthusiastic and energetic in learning and training
Strong teaching skills and style
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; must be knowledgeable of multiple software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and the Internet.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to demonstrate and promote a positive team-oriented environment
